The highly anticipated 2025 Select League season is set to kick off on April 5, marking the second year of competition for the league. This season welcomes two new clubs: Crown Villa, which expands the league to ten teams, and Antioch Rangers FC, who replace LS Athletic.
Defending champions Woodland FC will aim to retain their crown, but they face stiff competition from familiar rivals and the league’s newest additions. A fresh feature for 2025 is KCAFF TV’s "Match of the Week," which will showcase a key fixture each round on its YouTube channel.
Key Matchups to Watch
Week 1 (April 5): The defending champions, Woodland FC, will host newcomers Crown Villa in their first-ever Select League match. Meanwhile, Antioch Rangers FC make their debut against Southside FC.
Week 3 (April 18-19): Woodland FC hosts Real Overland Park in a rematch of last season’s only loss for the defending champions. This early test could set the tone for both clubs.
Week 15 (June 27-29): A special double-feature for the "Match of the Week" series. On June 27, Leawood Forest will take on Liberty FC under the lights at Barstow School, while June 29 will see both new clubs, Crown Villa and Antioch Rangers FC, clash for the first time.
