The Select League has taken a significant step forward with the launch of Select TV, a new video media platform dedicated to broadcasting and promoting the league and all Kansas City Association Football Federation (KCAFF) entities. At the heart of this initiative is KCK Media, led by co-founder and owner Landon Hinkle, whose vision and expertise are driving the brand forward.

In an interview with Select League media, Hinkle shared his enthusiasm for the project and the transformative role Select TV will play.

Promoting the League Through Digital Media

Hinkle emphasized the power of social media as a key tool for elevating the Select League’s profile. “With the new age, everything comes from social media. Focusing on companies’ and individuals’ platforms, we believe we can promote the league across all platforms and help it gain a new following,” Hinkle explained.

The Match of the Week and Beyond

A cornerstone of Select TV’s offerings will be the "Match of the Week" broadcasts, which aim to deliver top-tier production quality akin to FS1's MLS coverage. These broadcasts promise a mix of exciting gameplay, expert analysis, and fan engagement to captivate viewers.

In addition, Select TV plans to explore innovative content formats, including player mic’d-up videos, tactical breakdowns, and a league-focused podcast that recap matches and previews upcoming fixtures.

Behind-the-Scenes Stories and Club Features

Select TV isn’t just about game day. Hinkle revealed plans for a docuseries, “Chase for the Crown,” which will provide a behind-the-scenes look at Crown Villa FC’s inaugural season. He sees such storytelling as vital to connecting with fans, saying, “A team is built around a community. Showing the background of the clubs will help the community around them grow.”

Real-Time Fan Interaction

Beyond traditional broadcasts, Select TV intends to leverage social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) for live updates and fan conversations during games. The platform will also explore opportunities for live Q&A sessions with players and exclusive behind-the-scenes content to deepen fan engagement.

Goals for Growth

Hinkle has set a realistic benchmark for success in Select TV’s first season, targeting 300 to 400 subscribers. He believes this level of engagement will not only boost the league’s visibility but also enhance the individual brands of its clubs.

A Bright Future for Select TV

With Select TV, KCK Media is poised to redefine how fans experience the Select League. Hinkle’s commitment to innovation and storytelling will not only promote the league’s competitive spirit but also spotlight the unique cultures and communities behind each club.

As the 2025 season approaches, fans can look forward to a new era of accessibility, excitement, and connection with the Select League through Select TV.
