The Kansas City amateur soccer scene has a new voice.

This week marks the debut of Selective Hearing, a new podcast dedicated to all things KCAFF—from the Select League and Super League to international play, the women’s league, and everything in between. Hosted by local soccer minds Brandon Fisher and Landon Hinkle, the show promises fans fresh takes, deep analysis, and conversations with some of the biggest personalities across the region’s soccer landscape.

In the inaugural episode, now streaming on YouTube, Fisher and Hinkle break down every game from Matchweek 1 of the Select League, offering insight into early-season performances, key goals, and standout players. They also look ahead to Matchweek 2, discussing the biggest storylines to watch as clubs begin to find their rhythm.

“We’ve been talking about launching this for a while now,” said Fisher. “There’s just so much going on in KCAFF right now—from the Super League qualification battles to the growth of the women’s game. We felt like this was the perfect time.”

The podcast plans to feature a rotating guest list beginning with Episode 2, including players, coaches, league officials, and even supporters from clubs across the region.

“There are a ton of stories that deserve to be told in Kansas soccer,” Fisher added. “We want Selective Hearing to be the place where the community comes together—where the game is celebrated, challenged, and most importantly, talked about.”

New episodes of Selective Hearing will drop every Thursday, giving fans a reliable midweek fix of KCAFF content.
